- Comment on Borrowing money against their stuff to get more stuff to borrow money... 1 week ago:
It’s complicated…
The estate pays the loans back, but as the assets appreciate, the loans are covered….
The trick is moving your assets around, so that you personally own very little, and they have trusts or LLCs that own the assets so there isn’t inherent tax liability
Shrug fuck us.

The real fix is running Linux.
In the last year, I’ve found that on my main machine, fedora is FINE.
I mostly surf, I’m not a gamer, and for me Linux ticks the boxes I need
YMMV you should do you; but my daily driver as a Linux box has been flawless

This shit pisses me off.
If Biden/Obama/aoc were pulling this we’d hear about emoluments 24/7
But Trump does it and dems are like oh maybe we should just see what happens….
Then we have TrumpRX and Trump making millions off crypto

You are SO correct, as I should have realized by the giraffe unit of measure.
I’m at a loss as to the Venn diagram where giraffe and imperial would overlap…

Kinda hard to install your app if it’s not in the store. – because searching for “revolt” brings up nothing as well.

- Comment on Zero ships from China are bound for California’s top ports. Officials haven’t seen that since the pandemic 9 months ago:
Anyone who is paying attention has already started…
Fortunately, most day to day needs are not shipped from china; TP and foodstuffs. But the darkest part of this is the knock on effects-- tech; hard drives, phones and devices; toys and consumer goods
If they are not being shipped, they don’t need longshoremen to unload-- they don’t need truckers to get them to distribution centers- they don’t need people to work in the stores. And when all those people lose hours or jobs; they can’t spend money at other stores or restaurants…
The USA is a goods and services economy and when you gut goods; no one can afford any services.
We rely on trade and the President has such a bass awkward understanding of economics and is so dogmatic in his refusal to listen
Yeah we’re fucked.
Anyone in Norway want to adopt me?

Yep. Dynamic pricing.
Other people have reported it with travel sites when looking at flights, you get different prices on a Mac vs windows.
Vendors of any ilk would love to be able to adjust prices per customer.
