Greedily, profiting from you and me Unable to empathize, cancer’s spreading: globalized So it’s now the price they’ll pay, sowing all this enmity. Stand by Luigi’s side, 'cause I hope the Right dies.

I have not forgotten. I mentioned it was the family’s ability to use that money, not the individual! You are right that it doesn’t change the conclusion though.

Yeah good shout. I gave up after I realized. Thanks!

His investments and stocks do provide income (although not a salary). Regardless, my earlier statement still stands.

That’s all well and makes sense to me, but the person I was questioning stated that $350k+/year is not rich. All of those boxes you mentioned could be ticked way lower than that, and this is nearly 10x the median salary of the UK. That roughly means this family has the ability to spend 8x the median individual and still save/invest 2x their salary per year.

What does this mean? By this metric, the wealthiest person in the world is not considered rich. Elon Musk both works and has an income.
- Comment on The Telegraph has deleted this sob story 4 weeks ago:
By what metric? Where would you define rich?
- Comment on What could go wrong? 4 weeks ago:
I’m not advocating for it, but it could be just locally run and therefore unable to share anything?

Yeah I think many humans worship the deer religion. I hear people say “Deer God…” when they pray.

Wine off the wine tree and swine off the swine tree; it’s basically paradise!

For sure, there are lots of options for controllers for PC!

That is true.

I mean Nintendo isn’t really pro-consumer either. I’m not sure if they donate or support genocide, but they are pretty capitalistic to a fault.

Well except for any Xbox peripherals such as controllers, or games published or made by studios owned by Microsoft. It’s not just Windows OS.

Isn’t Moo Moo Farm playable on Mario Kart 8 Deluxe?
- Comment on Why aren't we all getting rich from compound interest? 3 months ago:
Yeah I see, that’s fair enough.
- Comment on Why aren't we all getting rich from compound interest? 3 months ago:
I feel like I’m not being clear then: that’s ONLY taking into account the potential interest earned? Touching the principal, you’d be able to go for much longer. This is coming from a place of ignorance and envy as as American with no prospect of being able to save $1 million, ever.
- Comment on Why aren't we all getting rich from compound interest? 3 months ago:
I have received 5% at least the last few years, but even disregarding the last I’m talking about future spending.
- Comment on Why aren't we all getting rich from compound interest? 3 months ago:
Yes that’s the last 30 years though. I’m not talking about past profits, I’m talking about the future. They seem to currently have enough money to secure at least a decade of spending even before taking interest into account.
- Comment on Why aren't we all getting rich from compound interest? 3 months ago:
Could you elaborate on that? At $1 million, that would be your yearly salary for over 13 years. At 5% yearly interest (from something like Discover) would generate $50k/yr. Why would you not be able to retire?
- Comment on FBI nabs worker at DVD company for ripping prerelease blockbusters 3 months ago:
Right, but that specifically is not linking Steven Hale. So your original assertion that he is selling/supporting Russian malware is not substantiated by this article.
- Comment on FBI nabs worker at DVD company for ripping prerelease blockbusters 3 months ago:
Do you have a source for that? This article does not say that at all. It simply says that the person in question ripped Spider-Man Far From Home, that movie specifically was available from a lot of different users and locations, also had some cases where it had dangerous malware packaged, and that could have come from a Russian torrenting site. Nothing links this person directly to that malware or Russians at all.

Thankfully your banjo playing days are finite.

To your first point: zero also has four letters.

I absolutely believe it’s better. The soundtrack, level variety, and vehicle variety all blow it out of the water.

Do people hate him specifically because he’s autistic? Or is he just a prick who happens to be on the spectrum? I’ve not seen the former being espoused.
