I’m trying out the game. Honestly, a simple tutorial / intro would go a long way towards flattening out the initial difficulty curve. Having to go into a wiki to learn the basic concepts of wands and spells is not my idea of a good time.
The incredible pixel-smashing game Noita got a huge free update

It’s partly a joke, but going down the levels until you beat the final boss really is the tutorial. The “real” game requires online collaboration to dig up its secrets, so having to go on the wiki for wand basics is in many ways just priming you for the serious stuff.

Noita is way too hard for me. I finally managed to beat the “tutorial” and that was good enough for me.

I was hyped for the game. Bought it. And was severely disappointed.

Can you elaborate. 2 of my friends both love this game. Just curious what left you feeling underwhelmed

Sure! Every pixel is simulated sounds neato! It doesn’t feel dynamic. The randomness is too random I guess and you can have a great run or die before the first door all depending on what wands you get. And it just repeats.
The person below said read guides and stuff, and to me that’s a poorly designed game if I have to educate myself on it before getting to enjoy it.
Of course I bought it early access and haven’t been back, but it sounds like it’s some people’s cuppa tea.

This is one of my favorite games of all time. It can be a rough game to start out with because the difficulty can seem insurmountable. I would recommend looking at some guides and at least at first use the mod that allows you to edit your wand anywhere.
