Counterpoint: development of Physint was dropped because it missed multiple development milestones and kept going over budget, something Kojima (a noted perfectionist) has a long history of doing. While Kojima’s games are amazing, I can easily understand why a publisher wouldn’t want to work with him.

It’s crazy that he likes expensive actors in his games because all they do is spout endless mumbo jumbo that barely has anything to do with anything. I’m sure he would save a lot of money using less expensive actors to say exhausting amounts of nonsense.
Gameplay in his games is usually good and unique which means I’m a huge fan.

Kojima is a fantastic game designer but a godawful writer. Unfortunately he insists on doing both.

I mean Sony came out and said they left the project due to overbudget and deadlines not being met. Seems pretty logical for any company. DS2 also sold less than half (2 million) compared to DS1 (5 million). Using big name actors also isn’t cheap either.
I love MGS but the fanboys are so balls deep on Kojima it’s gross. It’s also very anti-Sony right now so fans will automaticly side with Kojima on this.
With enough talent, I just don’t understand why KojimaPro doesn’t just publish their own games instead of relying on Sony or Xbox?
