You’re not missing much from S3, it hardly moved the plot

Fun little test.
I got explorer, which is fairly spot on
- Comment on How Cops Are Using Flock Safety's ALPR Network to Surveil Protesters and Activists 2 weeks ago:
The issue is you might take out a few, but you’ll still get followed by the other “active” ones.
My state has flocks on every major interstate from one side to the other. I just talked to a cop recently that managed to track a suspect down from NEOH to somewhere in KY where the state police were waiting for him when he crossed state lines.
Unless we completely get rid of all flock cameras, we’re screwed.

- Comment on Apple Reportedly Moving Ahead With Ads in Maps App 1 month ago:
Sure, but one can argue that data is being exchanged for ads.
Regardless, CoMaps is still a solid offline app that is being worked on. I wish we had a better version of Google or Apple maps without the bloat
- Comment on Apple Reportedly Moving Ahead With Ads in Maps App 1 month ago:
CoMaps is a nice offline alternitive. Not perfect, but it respects privacy

There is no “dedicated” one for gaming. Ubuntu Mint, Debian are solid ones. I run Mint MATE personally

I feel this. I recently switched jobs and have a work PC (Win11) and work phone (whatever Iphone model) and I feel so dumb using them and I’m really tech savvy

Great. Now “AI” will burn my coffee because it “thinks” I would rather have a hotter temp than I pick.
Good thing I like tea instead lol

If VPNs get outlawed for some reason in AZ, Tor is another option. Make sure you download it from their site sonce there are fake Tor apps in the playstores

- Comment on Enthusiasts bond twelve 56K modems together to set dial-up broadband records — a dozen screeching boxes achieve record 668 kbps download speeds 2 months ago:
I bet you could get slightly quicker speeds if they ran a pihole or something to block ads.
This is kind of an interesting idea. I wonder if it’s feable to reuse all the old 56k modems?

(shrug) don’t care if it affects views, never should have had them in videos regardless.

- Comment on Is 128 players too much for a multiplayer FPS? Yes, says Battlefield 6 2 months ago:
I do miss it. I was so cool playing the 3 PMC groups against each other in that game mode. I also ejoyed being about to “prestige” into the other PMC groups. Such a good game
- Comment on Is 128 players too much for a multiplayer FPS? Yes, says Battlefield 6 2 months ago:
If you have a bad game, it’ll still be a bad game with more players.
When games before it were really popular and did well with the same or more players, it’s a BF 6 issue. MAG (256 PS3 only), Joint Operations Typhoon Riisng/Escelation (150 on vanillia and 300 with IC mod), or more recenty: Arma Reforger (128) all have done really well and solid games too.

I updated last night and don’t see much of a change in my experience other than my toolbar icon look different. I streamed fo 2.5 hours on Arma Refroger no issues
- Comment on Linux Mint 22.2 “Zara” Is Now Available for Download 3 months ago:
Hard to say without specs. I’d go with XFCE and then MATE right behind it. With a lower end PC, I doubt it could handle the fanciness of Cinnamon and still run software

- Comment on Google: 'Your $1000 phone needs our permission to install apps now'". Android users are screwed - Louis Rossmann 3 months ago:
This 100%
I have used tracfone since 2012 and only bought phones from their store, sub $150. The budget phones today are so much better than the last 10 years.
I just can’t wrap my head around sinking that much into a phone when you replace it every year and it cost as much as a decent budget computer, but worse.

The “model’s” right hand only has 3 fingers
- Comment on 3 months ago:
Yeah I’m holding off until it’s like 50% off. I watch a few playthroughs and it just bugs me how the characters looked compared to the original. I just feel like it lost the charm the original had, just shiny graphics
