Time to find a new VPS host.
Acronyms, initialisms, abbreviations, contractions, and other phrases which expand to something larger, that I’ve seen in this thread:
| Fewer Letters | More Letters |
|---|---|
| NVMe | Non-Volatile Memory Express interface for mass storage |
| PCIe | Peripheral Component Interconnect Express |
| VPS | Virtual Private Server (opposed to shared hosting) |

ew gross
Why don’t they give to Linux Foundation? Or Debian/void or other projects…
that makes me want to set up a DO account just so i can delete it!
Just be sure to take the survey and be clear on why.
and then rinse and repeat, until i get bored ^^
This makes users try Omarchy. Users learn about the author and move to a different Linux distribution. All good?
I like the positivity!
I am just trying to understand where the problem is. To me it looks like a way to lure Windows users to Linux. Yes, we all have different opinions but that is exactly what all Linux distros are for. Since Omarchy is open source I don’t see a big problem. It is not backed by Google or someone else so there is no monopol here that cant be won.
I just see it as a experiment, showcase, of what can be done and what people actually want. That other distributions can copy and take the good parts from.
So pissed; just found out about this Saturday, so I spent Saturday evening checking out the VPS providers, and Sunday moving everything over, re-importing data, dealing with DNS caching delays, etc. I had other plans this weekend. I was a fan of DO, even have DOCN shares, which I’m going to dump.
Well, at least, if everything works out with OVH, I’ll have double the RAM and be paying less than half of DO.
How many 3 initial techdudes are there?
I only know jwz and DHH
There are RMS and ESR
Shame. I liked digital ocean
Gonna have to set up some time during the weekend to help a friend migrate some infra off DO. To where? Who knows.
Bye Felicia.
Meh

And with that after probably more then ten years of a DO VPS I’m in the process of moving it. Bonus to a Canadian provider.
