Corporate giants to acquire Jagex, creators of Runescape. Jagex already wasn’t a great company monetization-wise but I doubt things will improve from here.
At this point, are there any corporations left that haven’t owned jagex at some point?
At least it’s not a mining company this time? Still just someone else who will milk this cow dry

oh so that’s why they tried hard to push subscription numbers up. a new set of owners. who could’ve guessed?

Man, OSRS dodging most of the scummy monetization has been fantastic and has contributed greatly to it being relatively lively for so long. I can’t imagine a new owner won’t want to extract every possible drop of value from it, especially an investment firm.

To be fair this isn’t the first time an investment firm has bought Jagex, they’ve been passed around many times the past decade
