A new study shows Gender-nonconforming employees face higher workplace discrimination

Gender-nonconforming cisgender lesbian, gay, bisexual and queer employees were also more likely to be out at work. About two-thirds [68 percent] said they were out as lesbian, gay, bisexual or queer to their supervisor, compared with 50 percent of gender-conforming employees.
I would’ve guessed that was the case but it’s always good to have evidence
As a trans woman, I cope with presenting as male at work during every conversation by thinking, “You fool! You absolute imbecile! You think you’re talking to a man, but you’re actually talking to a brilliant villainess who has tricked you into treating me with respect by driving a sasquatch-themed mech like a beautiful, sexy Krang! You buffoon!”
It’s dumb, but it does make me feel better about the dysphoria.
But how many of those men are pulling the same thing on you? Hmm? ;)

Well yeah, doh, when you are different, when you stand out, you’re more visible and more at risk of being seen by assholes, and those we unfortunately have everywhere
I’m not trying to diminish this, just saying it’s not surprising at all. I hope that, with more visibility, we get more normalized in society and with that, the need to bully will also go down

depends if the company is a “lgbtq+ friendly one” and if you live in a lgbtq+ friendly region.
