Frakes claimed the Riker Maneuver was due to back pain, but I don’t buy it. It’s totally a power move.

Look, we all know about the back pain and chair sitting. But now that I’m old and have back pain this pose he’s doing here TOTALLY screams, “My back is fucked, the second this take is over I’m going to lean forward to complete the stretch.”

Here Geordi. I call this the Riker Reacharound. You’ll know it’s working because of how much attention we’re getting from the ladies in this bar.

Later Geordi shows him that authority when ejecting the warp core before Will gives the actual order to set off the Riker Maneuver.

All that just to mount a chair? They’re warp cores, Geordi, not Pez.
