He’s also just incorrect, there are multiple ways to kill an engine on an aircraft.

It does - the magnetos can be turned off (usually like turning a key in a car), which will immediately stop the engine from firing.

That’s assuming a chopper with a piston engine, right? I’m pretty sure most helicopters today have turboshaft engines, they’ll run as long as there’s fuel and air.
