A and B are column headers; X and Y are row headers.
“Row headers” seems wrong to me. Maybe “row labels”?
I may be wrong but I believe A and B are column headers while X and Y are row headers
Depends on the context. I work with databases, so A and B are column headers and X and Y are either row numbers, or identifiers.
I’d call A and B “column headers” and X and Y “row headers”
It can also be called index
Hey OP, I know you already found your answer, but I was wondering what you call these in French? (Or whatever your native language is)
