The klingon/human dichotomy is fascinating.
In many ways humans and klingons are quite similar, it's just that what klingons think of as strengths, humans often think of as weaknesses, and vice versa.
A klingon will brag of how many people they have killed, but be too ashamed to admit to avoiding war.
In the star trek universe, humans are proud of solving problems non-violently through diplomacy, and are often ashamed of having to use violence.
Leads to a lot of misunderstandings and conflict.

reminds me of the episode where Q conjures a Klingon woman for Worf and they just kinda growl at each other until he hits her. and Riker, aghast and intolerant of other cultures, asks Worf if he’s fucking serious lol

Like riker doesn't have a ton of weird kinks

There's a non-zero likelihood that Riker's fucked a chair.

That scene was always utterly hysterical to me. Just how suddenly Worf just beats the shit out of a woman out of fucking nowhere. There was nothing that ever could have prepared me for the sudden culture shock. Riker had no damn excuse but at least I did.

"it's consensual, also culture" situations are my favorite part of the klingons. Also the warrior poetry and operas
