I can’t see why anyone would say no to a donation. I assume anything can be stolen, but like the other person said, if you do it towards the end of their set I assume they would put it out of site or end their set to go secure it if they were worried.
Did you ask the same question about tipping in OMR last week?
Every tip will be more appreciated if it comes in a currency the person understands.
Get it converted to USD and give them that.

Hand it to them personally at the end of their set. It gives you the opportunity to thank them in person and explain the value of your “tip”.
