    Where do you not have to pay for glasses? Here in the UK (which is not the US) children and low income people get free basic glasses, but any special coatings, tints, frames or adult glasses you have to pay for.

      You do not have to pay for any optical, dental, or audiology equipment or treatment in France.

      You can choose to buy fancy frames or tints, but you don’t have to.

    My glasses are like 30 bucks a pop and I order them on the internet. All I see an optician for is to get my prescription renewed every 5 years and that isn’t too expensive to get done either.

      Hi, former optician here, your glasses are probably fine quality wise but you should consider updating your Rx more often, at least every 2 years. Eyes change more than people tend to think they do, and since our lenses can be adjuated with muscles we often don’t notice when our vision begins to deteriorate.

      I have a total correction of about -3d in each eye, but if I dont put my glasses on in the morning I don’t need them and can go through my day normally. As soon as I put them on and am hit with the strain relied though I’m unable to go back to not wearing them for the rest of the day.
