Same boat as you but was always driven to and from school via one of my parents. However, my father worked late hours because he was a farmer so I would stay at school till 7 sometimes when I was with him that week (had divorced parents).

Most people work two or three jobs because they can’t get full time jobs with healthcare or benefits. Which means they work 40+ hours every week regardless because it’s all they can do to survive.

I know that. I just don’t care to get new ones till I notice a difference and my prescription hasn’t changed much at all for 10 years anyway.
- Comment on I can't hear you! 6 days ago:
My glasses are like 30 bucks a pop and I order them on the internet. All I see an optician for is to get my prescription renewed every 5 years and that isn’t too expensive to get done either.

It’s much more rare nowadays in new video games that have this style of physics or visual storytelling. It’s a game that will always be a fresh experience to me anytime I replay it.

- Comment on The Morbidly Rich Have Killed the American Dream 5 weeks ago:
It only existed if you were a white male WW2 soldier that got the GI bill and an education in the late 40s/early 50s. When wealthy people actually got taxed appropriately as well as CEOs that didn’t make 100x more than their employees. There were loopholes of course but they involved billionaires having to actually do something with their money to benefit society like building libraries.
