  I vaguely remember it having a USB mode, but it’s been a long time. Check the settings.

  No. The music on that iPod is almost guaranteed to be protected by DRM. If you could extract the files they would not be readable by any other device.

    You know that it is incredibly easy to strip the DRM from iTunes m4a’s, right? Like this wasn’t even much of a hurdle back when these were the hottest mp3 players on the market.
