Yeah, I for reals thought there was an underground market for bathroom scales and was very confused.
What I’m hearing is, the free hand of the market is at work.
Exactly, if they make an extremely desired product hard to get, they call them criminals I would rather call them smart business people, seeing a gap in the market and filling it. Yes the entrenched powers will cry they do not follow regulations and they will put people’s lives in danger… They just want to be the only competitor as little competition to make as much money.
Bought my fake “Ozempic” from a criminal (a close friend actually), yeah I know it was a cheap Chinese knockoff, worked like a charm, 8kg in two months and was well worth the risk.
Our government has even banned the use of Semaglutide or the other versions for weight loss, so basically rolled out the red carpet for “criminals” to fill the clear gap in the market

It was likely coming out of exactly they same plant as the branded drug.
In Canada, some idiot at Novo ignored letters to renew the Ozempic patent and now the patent is expired in Canada. That drug had about $10B of income before patent expiry, now generics are being made.
Officially the dumbest corporate mistake ever. But they saved $400 in a processing fee.

It’s only a matter of time before the “other” organized crime starts making real patent drugs.
The price of drugs is completely arbitary, and some chemical compounds that cost $1000/kg to make are being sold at $400,000 year per patient. Not hard to get a quote from a factory in China, import it, then package in pills. Which is all these pharma companies do anyway.
