    I read the BBC article but why would she even have to prove anything? That dumb ass conspiracy theorist should be obligated to prove their bullshit made up claim and lose the case.

      This is the situation in the UK, where essentially defamation cases are guilty until proven innocent; if the defence you have to rest on is that what you said or wrote was true, you have to prove that to the court. It means that anyone who says anything that upsets the rich can be sued for defamation and has essentially no chance of prevailing.

    I don’t know man, I feel like ignoring these fucking horrible people isn’t the right way to go anymore. Like I feel like that’s what I’ve been doing my entire life and expecting them to eventually mature. They need to be publicly called out embarrassed and shown to be without the truth. Repeatedly if necessary, preferably as shamefully and as expensively as possible

      That way madness lies. You can’t rationalise someone out of a position they weren’t rationalised into in the first place. You can’t debate someone into, for example, believing Brigitte Macron is a woman when they reached the opposite position in a complete absence of evidence of their belief.
