My style hasn’t changed since I was maybe around ten. I’m well into adulthood now and wondering if I fit into any subculture since I have some American friends who are around my age and know theirs and typically hang out with people of their subculture. I’m deeply into drawing weird art, like colourful monsters that are Mario inspired. I’m also into emulation, tattoo design, and making mods for games. I’m a tomboy and never wear makeup. Fashion, my wardrobe consists of tracksuits and trainers, sometimes a cap or fabric coats with a plaid pattern on them. I’ll dress like this no matter where I am or what I’m doing. I’ll sometimes wear gold jewellery like bracelets. I’m a big fan of music and that consists of UK garage, deep house and DnB. I’d love to go to music festivals and just go wild. I don’t care about being labelled as weird and I’ve been non conformist/rebellious since I was tiny
Idk the name for it,but this is a common vibe I see here in my US college town. It is a type of art student that doesn’t come from a rich background. I think the best name I think of off the top of my head would be something like “Post tumbler alternative” or “midwestern underground goth” ? Idk, the name doesn’t matter.
The point is, your people are out there and if you keep looking, you’ll find your tribe eventually.

Ignore trying to identify and fit into some niche subculture. Instead, just make friends based on your interests. Let any subculture participation emerge naturally. There is no need to granularly define and name and restrict yourself to one thing or social group and this can actually be arbitrarily limiting and divisive.
For example, find some friends to safely go to music events with. Sounds like that’s something you’d like to do.

your subculture is you. it is the best subculture to have.
