    Well if you copy everyone’s IP you don’t have research and development costs so you can leapfrog everyone. It’s a big reason why everyone dislikes china’s copying of everything.

    Also it’s a little disingenuous to copy and steal everything not nailed down and then copyright stuff that you make.

      Its not just about patents. China also actually makes a shit-ton of batteries, EVs, solar panels, and wind turbines.

      I don’t care if China “steals” a patent from some giant corporation that was just going to squat on it, and uses it to actually make a fuck-ton of renewable energy products.

      China is very good at making massive quantities of product at an affordable price. If you actually care about renewables, let them make renewables.

      The rules of this game are written by the winners. Fuck copyright, IP, and patent laws. The ones who dislike this are the 1%, they can go fuck themselves too.
