  This song is not subtle at all. The ex definitely knew this was about her and how petty her ex was.

  Confusing that John Lennon has two songs with this title but this was only released posthumously. He recycled the title from an unreleased demo.

    I’m pretty sure it’s about Allen Klein. Allen helped john write how do you sleep, which was a paul diss track that john regretted later. Steel and glass is also a diss track and has the same tune as how do you sleep. John explicitly said that steel and glass ain’t about Paul. Allen Klein is from new york.
