  Fun chapter! Felt very different seeing Serie be… well… the way she was this chapter.

  Fern telling her dear teacher, “Shut up! I’ve gotta be hot for Stark!” was good too.

    Yeah, I loved Mama Serie this chapter. I feel like this is a case where the anime’s characterization of her might have influenced how the manga portrayed her going forward. It reminded me of what I wrote back when the show was airing. Back in chapter 53, when Serie was reminiscing about training Flamme, she was way more cold and detached. Compare that to how that sequence played out in the anime in episode 25 and she comes off much warmer. Then, in this chapter, it is this warmer and more nostalgic version of Serie that we saw. I am a big fan of Serie like this, almost like she views herself as a caretaker for all these young’uns.
