Hitler I think frequently mentioned stuff about bringing back kaiser. And I think wilhelm did inquire “if I can return” and then hitler allegedly said kaiser must be a total moron to think he can just get monarchy back. If memory serves

He would let others saw the trees while he just stood there pretending he helped. Like placing his good hand on top of the saw. Or use a small hand axe.
