Yellow is just someone pissed on it.
Explanation : The USSR had a flag that was mostly red, with a yellow hammer and sickle in the top left, that was topped with a yellow star outline. The flags of the constituent republics were also mainly red, but had individual little flourishes. The Latvian one is my favourite, but I also like how much the Georgian one stands out.
Red flags are used as a easy to communicate barometer on how advisable a relationship is with someone, if someone has a lot of “red flags” that means sustaining a relationship with that person would be unwise or especially challenging and unrewarding.
