They’re incapable of adaptation and adoption, like grandma who doesn’t want an iPhone because her touch tone landline telephone still works just fine and is familiar.
Nice bait bro.

Grandma age. Prefer Android. You’re calling other people crybabies while you’re whining about what phone they use? Get outside, bro. Check out some nature.
pieguy@lemmy.sdf.org 12 hours ago Here you go, shitting on the opposition backbenchers again, smh
Iphones bulk-collect troves of personal data for Palantir, marketers, and cops, and it is maddening that the tech exists to do the same things without routing it all through Silicon Valley, and has existed the whole time.
You should do a deep dive on the Luddites. They were masters at operating and troubleshooting the most state-of-the-art factory machines of their time. They didn’t hate advanced technology, they opposed designs specifically contrived to crush labor.
wesker@lemmy.sdf.org 11 hours ago What you’re saying is I’m doing the luddites a historical disservice by comparing them to these people?
WHY WONT MY GRANDMA JUST GIVE APPLE HER MONEY OH MY GOD I HATE HER
Haha yeah that’s crazy man anyway gotta jet see you around!

For what it’s worth, Grandma’s landline phone did exactly what she needed it to do, and was much more reliable than early iPhones.
Not everybody needs to be as excited about every technological advancement as you are. There have been a lot of great advancements in industrial machining lubrication, but I doubt you insulted people for not giving a shit about those.
Did oldschool lubers get like, really really upset about the new lubrication systems?
BCsven@lemmy.ca 2 hours ago
I mean synthetic lube is not the same as natural lube, it does different things but fails miserably when overheated and stops becoming lube
Rhynoplaz@lemmy.world 11 hours ago
Some of them might have. I bet any lubricators whose jobs were on the line because of them probably have had some complaints.
