I find it really difficult to get people to do free activities. Even just sitting on the beach together seems to be really difficult, but suggest something expensive and get far more interest.

Capitalism destroys everything. Everything costs way too much. Most social gatherings have an entry fee and all kinds of merch. Most people are overworked too tired and don’t have the money anyway.
