The No Gun Ri Peace Foundation estimates 250–300 were killed, mostly women and children.
The incident was little known outside Korea until publication of an Associated Press (AP) story in 1999 in which veterans of the U.S. Army unit involved, the 7th Cavalry Regiment, corroborated survivors’ accounts.
But, you don’t need to go back that far in history to see the U.S. doing bad things. We dropped bombs on school children a couple of months ago, and are possibly still doing it right now.

True, but the meme is about learning about the countries history and I can accept that stuff less than 20 years old is not going to be taught in history class. Something that happened 70 years ago though should be covered.
