My entire premise is that “we” should hope to be better than someone like him.
The society “we” want champions things like consent and respect.
Sometimes people “deserve” no respect because they have despicable behavior, but inherently “possess” certain respects due to being a human. Not being assaulted, or trapped/confined is one of those things unfortunately.
As a detached example: even mass murderers and terrorists deserve a day in court

I’m sorry, but Thiel is way above mass murderers. Him and his ilk are playing Meat Space Gods. Literally deciding all of our fates with none of our input. They are trapping us against our will every single day.

Nah, fuck that. Rich assholes who try to destroy the fabric of our democracy don’t deserve those respects. He wanted to use his money and power to make life miserable for regular people, so booo fucking hooo if he can use his money and power to get away from public opinion.
