Damn, didn’t realize the crew has been kept onboard this whole time.
Seems they’ll be kept there for the demolition too.
“Officials said they’ve been busy maintaining the ship and assisting investigators. Of the crew members, 20 are from India and one from Sri Lanka.”
Yeah. Huh. The ship needs to be maintained and everything and there are going to be tons of questions…
Questions like “where my fuckin’ package”?

Often a good portion of the crew of container ships cannot legally enter the USA, so stay on their ships in port.

Ah, That makes a lot of sense. Ships/ports/maritime law is not my Forte.
I understand they need to be available for the investigation and whatnot, but figured they’d have been put in a hotel for a bit.
