Its a statue. People like touching statues in odd places, take pictures with them that go way beyond what is acceptable to do with a real person. This isnt sexual harassment, what the fuck. It is an inanimate piece of metal.

They’re not saying that “groping” a statue is sexual harassment. They’re using the statues as a visual aid to talk about the real issue.

OK, so that’s nuts, 100%.
Still a good idea to use the statues as visual aids to start a conversation about the REAL issue, though, so let’s not throw the baby out with the bath water just because some advocates have trouble distinguishing between statues and humans 🤷
