Don’t do it anymore but driving after bud means more chill and sometimes more paranoia, so generally I drive calmer and more thoughtfully. Alcohol I know impairs, especially with overconfidence and that meant it is a counterproductive no no in my books.

Also I think the reduced inhibitions often causes people to become overconfident in their ability to drive safely.

I’m a huge proponent of legalization, and I think weed is great, but you’re objectively a worse driver while high. Please don’t.

I’ve ran red lights twice while driving high which I know would’ve never happened sober. I don’t get high anymore but yes please don’t.

One thing I’ve always wondered in this debate is how quickly people with high tolerances lose that inebreated state after smoking. Like hot boxing (actively smoking while driving) definitely is a bad idea but what I wonder is what the effects are for a seasoned smoker who took a few puffs at home then drives to grab some munchies like 30-45min later. I’m not arguing one way or another I just think more research needs to be done on how long after partaking is considered safe to drive.

Speaking from experience, 10-15 minutes.

I’m of the opinion that most people should be driving a lot less anyway, and that cars are heavy, potentially deadly machines that should be treated with the utmost caution.
I do suspect it’s much less risky to drive while high vs. intoxicated, but I’d certainly not do it, and I’d think less of anyone who does.

I think alcohol us much more universally known as making you shit driver than cannabis is.
