Retro_unlimited@lemmy.world 3 weeks agoYou can use a scribe, flat head, or a dremel. Just do enough to see the copper layer. Then add a solder ball to it. After that you can solder your wire to it.

Given how your first mod went, I’m going to suggest you use something decidedly less aggressive than a dremel. Leave the power tools on the bench for this one. A simple hobby knife or sanding stick will get you there just fine.
