The car thing is insane, even when you explain that you live in as regional area with limit options AND that I can drive to work in 20mins vs 60mins on public transport, you still get yelled.

- Donât be a communist
- Donât be not a communist
- If you have a car, do not talk about it
If you deplore those two easy steps

The sane ones make a decent point about infrastructure (Iâm definitely anti-car).
Blaming the individual for the lack of options provided by the government is pretty nuts.

Iâm in regional Australia, itâs unrealistic to ever expect public transport to overtake private transport, weâre too spread out.
I minimise my driving, but I couldnât survive without my own car, itâs not a black and white issue.
Barbarian@sh.itjust.works â¨1⊠â¨year⊠ago
Sure. I get that. Where I get kinda confused by some people (not blaming you for this!) is when the extrapolation comes out. âWe need cars to cross this massive gap between cities, and thatâs why we shouldnât build this tram line in the middle of this densely populated cityâ. Similarly, just because I think we should (talking about the EU here) make big investments into rail and ban short-haul flights, that doesnât mean I donât see the value in transatlantic flights.

You forgot âDonât mention you use Windowsâ and âDonât say you donât especially bother about privacyâ

This. I dared to say that I like Brave and I vehemently hate Mozilla and⌠Oh, boyâŚ

Hanging at dawn then?
I try to use Firefox and Librewolf as much as I can, but the fact is that Iâm a student and the websites my school uses for certain classes do not work on Firefox/Librewolf. Iâve also run into issues with certain other websites not running right and then when I switch to a chromium browser everything is fine. I donât have the knowledge to properly troubleshoot if the problem is on my end or just a shitty website, so itâs just easier to use Brave when I need it.
angrymouse@lemmy.world â¨1⊠â¨year⊠ago
Thatâs my problem

You should see my last post, oof.

Itâs inherently wrong, lest you meant the fallacy was replacing with the new words
257m@sh.itjust.works â¨1⊠â¨year⊠ago
I know these are meant to be funny but double negatives always piss me off so much. Like they are literally useless and make parsing the sentence for meaning harder because they add a bunch of noise in front what you are actually saying.

So I should write âHate Capitalism, even as a joke.â
That doesnât mean what I said.

Lol. I broke the rule, I deserve the punishment.
