Explanation: In the last days of WW2, and for some time thereafter, many prominent Nazis fled Germany rather than face justice for their innumerable crimes. Many fled to South America, where fascist-sympathetic groups could be found and a ‘low visibility’ lifestyle could be maintained; some were welcomed by the pro-fascist strongman of Argentina, Juan Peron (who also, strangely enough, had welcomed Jewish refugees fleeing the Nazis).
