OpenPassageways@lemmy.zip 8 months agoAl Jazeera surely is biased in favor of Arabs and Palestinians. The Western media is also clearly biased in favor of Israel and western imperialism. Therefore, it’s an important non-western perspective for trying to understand a complex issue, particularly for Americans who know more about the Kardashians than they know about what’s happening in the world.

Skip the bits on western countries. Focus on Arab countries.
Fatah, the Palestinians who run the West Bank, have repeatedly called Al Jazeera biased in favour of Hamas and even at one point banned it. It's a common complaint in the Arab world, not just the western world.
