Comment on Your tricks won't work on me

I’m so glad that they dropped a long running model and switched to a seasonal one.

Bleach mostly suffered from the fact that Ichigo mostly reacted to shit and never had his own goals or desires.
The first arc is interesting because he does want to rescue Rukia, but then he immediately repeats that arc in a less interesting way. And from then on, he just goes with the flow, and fights whoever is lined up next.
Contrast One Piece and Naruto, because they also started at about the same time, Luffy and Naruto both start with firm goals. They want, and that drives the story. Ichigo just reacts, other people drive the story.

I like the story in Bleach even if the main plot is just Ichigo getting stronger and discovering different hidden powers. What really shines in Bleach are side characters imo. More often than not side characters are neglected as soon as they finish their role in the story but in Bleach captains are always relevant. They actually grow with MC and we get to see their hidden or unusual side. Their designs and powers are also very well done. That’s why my only complaint is the fact the story could be shown in 72 episodes or so.
Naruto on the other hand I really dislike. I didn’t watch the show as a kid so I have no nostalgia for it. I watched it at the same time as Bleach and I think Bleach is way better. Naruto is way too annoying. Character design is terrible and just like in Bleach everything is way too dragged out. I get that this is also an unfair comparison since both shows target different demographics but even considering that Naruto falls short.
As for One Piece I’m afraid to even start it… 1000 episodes is wild …
