No hand holding but I heard that’s only from 10th date.I love how they answer every almost immediately when a question pops in my mind. Both with why would people live is such dangerous are and why not go by the sea. I really feel like author is reading my mind!
Frieren with braids is just gorgeous. I think it’s dangerous enough to kill even the Hero Himmel.

Worse than that. After they decided to scrape the bottom of the barrel and cracked down on password sharing I got locked out of my Netflix account, not because I was sharing it with someone but because I’m sometimes away from my home for more than a month. Those morons can’t even fathom the idea that someone might have more than one permanent stay. I’m never using this garbage again. If I like something I’ll pay extra to buy it as close to the studio/author as possible.

Unpopular (I think it might be actually popular) opinion but girls with messy hair and random clothes look good too. I understand the analogy to that messy omurice but for me it’s more like a casual breakfast vs cake. Cake sure is beautiful and sweet but it’s for special occasions but casual breakfast is something that gives you strength everyday.

I’d say that the only similarity is that the main character can see ghosts. It’s a comedy and a horror. I think it’s very unique so far.

It mostly bothers me because subtitles don’t match what’s being said. Like in that example I gave earlier, she says one sentence but subs give you two. I’m constantly interrupted by my brain like “she did not say that right now” not to mention that it really changes the tone of the character.
I’m not the only one though I’ve seen that a lot of people are complaining about this too.

Like when nagatoro says “sus” in the subs
Not exactly, I checked this scene on YouTube to refresh my memory and she says “さっきからキョドりまくってますけど”.
“キョドる” is a slang for “to act suspicious” so translating it as “sus” is just a perfect translation imo.There were some bad translations before but they were very rare. I remember that this winter people were complaining that someone translated “marry christmas” to “happy holidays” lol
In recent years however I noticed that more and more stuff is getting localized, they dropped -san, -kun, -sama honorifics, they convert units like centimeters to feet and inches but all of those I can understand and ignore. It’s an industry standard. Even if I prefer translation notes, honorifics and more literal translation there are legit arguments why it’s not a good idea. But this season is just so wrong on another level. Using dubs audio description as subtitles is not an industry standard and it’s not something you don’t do because you upset some anime nerds. Sure:
I think those are CR subs but I’m not sure. Whoever is the culprit for me is just unwatchable.
In this clip for example:
Subs say: “There isn’t much for you to do here.”
In realty he says: “飽きたら先に帰っていいから”
Which translates to something more or less like this:
“If you get bored, you can go home first.”Subs comes of as rude IMHO while in reality he’s being very considerate and polite.
On the second part of the clip:
Subs say: “Do you think I can’t read” - this would be fine but they also add:
“Oh, God, he thinks I can’t read.”
She doesn’t say that at all!
In reality it’s more like: “Even I can read a book!”
They either did that to appeal to western audience or more likely it’s just audio-description of dubs. Second options makes sense since it would cut costs and explain why they throw another sentence, original Japanese sentence is very long “いくら私でも読書ぐらいできるけど” but it translates to “Even I can read a book!” which is way shorter. In subs there’s no problem but with dubs you have to match lip movement.Anyway this is my opinion but subs like this change the tone of the show. Even if meaning is the same they way how that meaning is conveyed makes all the difference. Not to mention that if you understand at least a little Japanese it feels like two different shows play at the same time.

Also idk what happened to subtitles in this season but it’s another show translated so badly I need to switch off subtitles because it’s like a completely different story. Better to watch with a dictionary on a second screen than this.
