Im in the EU thankfully, itās not legal to record strangers (except like, a crowd where you canāt make out individuals that well). They may be watching me from the window, but they donāt talk like village folks do.

The exact stipulations strongly depend on the jurisdiction because there is no EU-wide legal framework.
For example, you may put them up, but then you are also required to put up warning signs so nobody runs the risk of being accidentally caught on camera. Or the cameras might not be allowed to directly face the street/ public areas, only your immediate private property.
