While well-intentioned, this is never going to happen. The last thing the Authorities want is civilians being incentivised to take the law into their own hands to win top awards. Ahmed was a very lucky man. It could have ended there and then for him. And he still ended up being shot.

It might be dumb but its true. why do you think their advice during a home invasion is to just leave asap?
Very different situation. Home invaders are generally thieves. Home insurance will get you your stuff back. Life insurance won’t give you your life back.
Not really. Their messaging is always to prioritise personal safety.
It’s great that old mate managed to get the gun and I salute him for his bravery but if that shooter had been a bit more aware or if he’d slipped or lost his grip then he may well have died of lead poisoning.
Vicpol or any organisation is never going to advocate for a member of the public to put themselves in danger. They won’t tell him off but they certainly won’t encourage it.
I know. It’s completely idiotic.
These petitions have never achieved anything meaningful.
Is that you would have advised all the people on AA Flight 11, 77 and UA Flight 175 ?
Obviously the people on US Flight 94 would have not taken your advice.

Did you watch the video? He wasn’t a vigilante, just a guy that took the gun of a terrorist preventing people from being killed. I don’t like your comment at all. The guy is clearly a hero who puts himself in front of others.
