    The 12v receptacles are still around, and you can buy the lighters, it is an option still really

    Well I know that at least a 2003 volvo s60 and a 2014 bmw f30 have had them :3… or the ones I’ve been in did anyway lol

      Sorry, I should’ve been more clear… I was just referring to the actual lighter, not the 12 V “accessory port”. Those are still pretty common.

    My 2008 still has one. As far as I can tell it’s never been used, and the ash tray is pristine and unused, but it’s got one.

  Smoking while driving is illegal in many countries so it makes a lot of sense that they would be removed.

      I wish it was banned everywhere. If you wanna kill yourself with cigarettes then do it the normal slow way with cancer, but dont endanger other people by being distracted while driving.

        You must never have smoked. There’s nothing distracting about smoking… But the unfulfilled addiction, if banned, could lead to some nice road rage videos.
