Heard some podcasters recently promote the idea/wish that M$ release the source code for Windows3.1.
Could be how Windows starts to get fixed.

didn’t they either release the code for 3.1, or someone leaked it? I thought I remembered someone releasing the code 10+ years ago. Could be wrong, probably am.

I (and the podcasters) meant also re-licensed under a Free Software license, like GNU GPL.

Hope they fix it the same way spaying or neutering dogs is called fixing: Prevent it from propagating further.
