I’m only applying to Musk or Trump the standards I would like others to apply to me. If I was wrongly accused of being a pedo, however vile an individual I might otherwise be, I would like others to have the intellectual honesty to say they have no proof, even if they hate my guts.
Also, it reflects poorly on people who accuse others of things without proof. It certainly would feel good to go around saying Musk is a pedo because the man is so abhorrent. But it would also be wrong.

They aren’t scrambling to protect the wealthy, they’re holding those they agree with accountable to the truth. Calling every Nazi rapist murderer a pedophile just for the sake of it weakens the definition of the word, and gives ammunition to those actually scrambling to defend these fools when they catch you accusing people of heinous crimes without proof.
When are ordinary people also Nazi rapist murderers that are being baselessly accused of pedophilia? Odd parallel to draw.

Let’s put it this way, when are those poor billionaires hold accountable to the law? Accusations means nothing to them.

You’re drawing nonsense conclusions.
People like to “protect” basic logic. This time it just happens to relate to someone rich. The person pointing out the basic logical flaws is certainly just as happy to do it in other situations.
Your assumption that it has anything to do with the wealth of the subject matter is your own bias at work.

And still here you are. Protecting a billionaires online image. He’ll probably give you some of his wealth, any day soon.
