Oddly, I only remember black VCRs…
But fortunately, it is easier than ever to emulate NES games, at least! =P

I want to say black was the dominant style through the 80s and then the silver/grey/brushed aluminium look made a comeback late nineties/around the millennium?
Talking out my ass here based on only rough childhood memories.

Oh I believe you anecdotally lol, not like I’d expect someone to… whip out a full empirical study on the production runs of various body housing styles of VCRs / VHS players, lol.
