Comment on "Rizz", "cooking" and "based" are going to be stereotypical old people words one day
kelpie_returns@lemmy.world 1 day agoXant speak for anywhere but where I’ve lived, but I’ve heard groovy on the US west coast pretty recently, though not regularly. There was a niche little clique of geeks out in east Texas that’d say it pretty regularly some years ago though. Hippie activist/tabletop enthusiast type vibe, that group. Good people. Groovy, even.

Then we may have met before. I’d rather not be identified on this account, so I’ll just text some of the old gang, and if you’re on the list, you’re on the list lol

So is he your cool brother because he says “groovy”, or does he say “groovy” because he’s cool?
::: spoilers idk why i wrote this Yeah, dawg. I just be thinking smart shit like that all day bro. My crew calls me The Doc on account of im so smart. We play this game where we throw rocks in the air and if it hits someone before it lands you get a point. But if you hit yourself you get 10 points. Cracked my skull enough times that I’m on a first name basis with every doctor in town, but I never lost one game. That’s called real genius, bro. No amount of practice can get a person to my level. Thats not even strategy bro thats just me. Im built difirint :::
::: spoilers weird mood today ig rips blunt till it burns my fingies :::

Yeah I feel like not hearing people use “groovy” is more because things aren’t feeling very groovy lately.
