  I played stardew after fully getting addicted to harvest moon like a decade before it.

  I was happy but also kind of annoyed, because this is basically just harvest moon. Like its so much “harvest moon but also on xbox” that they surely must be getting sued for plagiarism or something.

  Going back to harvest moon after stardew is a challenge to say the least. Nearly every aspect has been improved upon.

    It has many things harvest moon doesnt have. Combat, and more exploration. It has more building and upgrades. More furniture to buy. It is in a similar vein but stardew is basically what harvest moon should have been.

      something i feel doesn’t get enough credit is that the backstory is precisely what it needs to be, you inherited a farm from gramps and you want to take it over. Makes perfect sense and whatever the player then does can fit into it.

    There are people, like me, who never ever had a console and are just PC-gamers. Harvest moon could’ve been the tIt’s, but I would never know. To me, obviously, stardew is king.
