I have never played a Castlevania game (or a Metal Gear game) so plan to buy collections for both and give them a try.
Good to hear that at least some of the games still hold up well.

Start at Symphony of the Night then make your way up! I wouldn’t recommend playing the '80s and '90s Castlevania games unless you enjoy borderline unfair arcade games.

I want to give old ones a try, but I am also afraid they would be too difficult for me now. Maybe if I can pickup older collection at good sale.

I’ll be getting the collections on Switch, hopefully that port is also good.
