I think it’s misogynistic to claim that they couldn’t win just because they were women. You’re infantilizing them and making it all about their gender while ignoring the mountains of evidence showing that they both ran terrible campaigns.

Them denying that the cultural misogyny exists (in favor of the idea that “we solved all that, we’re past it now”) - is itself a deeply misogynist thing to do.

Pretending it was the case is pretending there was nothing wrong with Clinton or Harris or their campaigns. To say it was all misogyny is a pathetic EXCUSE of a thought. A thought-terminating cliche. If be are being honest it probably didn’t help her win support. I wouldn’t be surprised if people were sexist without realizing it.
I don’t think it was a the sole reason she lost though. Americans aren’t that bad.

Are they or did they just run extremely poor candidates? Clinton had a ton of baggage and the DNC steam rolled her into the position.
Harris wasn’t a popular choice in the primaries for the 2020 election either. In 2024 it seemed like she could have one but the people of the United States somehow thought she was inept. Possibly do to the severe lack of reporting on her throughout the Biden presidency. They had no intention of her running, so they did nothing to help her until the last four months of the race.
