It’s so condescending when people do that. They don’t know you yet make generalized assumptions. If you never wanted kids you won’t want them - the responsibility won’t decrease, the cost won’t decrease, you won’t have more time to spend with them to parent them. Nothing will change.

That’s not really true. There are plenty of people who reverse their stance on having kids as they get older.
Not that it’s a strong reason to not get a vasectomy, but it’s absolutely not true that people’s minds never change on the subject.

When the world was on the up and up, some people were doing that. Now fewer and fewer people have kids - even those who want them.

It still doesn’t mean that people won’t change their mind as they age. Hell, OP’s brain isn’t even fully developed yet.
For men it stops around 25, and it’s the parts associated with executive functioning (planning and decision making) that develop last. That’s not to say that OP is definitely going to change their mind, but it’s definitely a possibility.
Again, I’m not saying OP shouldn’t get a vasectomy; I got mine when I wasn’t much older than him. I don’t want to pass on my genetics, so if my wife and I end up wanting kids we’re going to adopt.

The 25 and brain development info is a myth. www.sciencefocus.com/…/brain-myth-25-development
