Iâm old to remember what happens when you feed them non-plant based diets. Sure, theyâll eat them, but theyâll also go crazy.

Yeah, no need to take it that far. Just let the cows graze outside and they will still eat the occational rodent like small mice (plenty of videos of it on youtube).

Yeah, Iâm sure they probably swallow the occasional insect as well, doesnât mean that thatâs their preferred diet.

Perhaps not, but their digestive system is highly specialized for digesting plant material (primarily grass). While Iâm sure they can probably tolerate the odd insect or rodent that happens to be in the way, they do not do well on a diet high in animal protein, and in fact end up getting very sick.
