Yeah I have to disagree, the first game was lifeless and dull imo
Comment on The Outer Worlds 2 Can't Be Anti-Capitalist When It's Charging Us $80 To Play It

If this game is as good as it looks Bethesda has to really step it up on Fallout 5 or big daddy Microsoft might give the IP back to its creators.

I personally loved it. I finished it quicker than most games I’ve played the last few years. I was actually surprised. It’s not a long game by any means, but still.
I didn’t love that it started a bit more radical and became more lib over time, but I still enjoyed the writing and gameplay quite a bit. It’s silly fun, and it’s not pretending not to be. It does have a message, but it’s not overtly drab or serious.

The Outer Worlds 1 was a fantastic palate cleanser after Starfield.

Nowhere near as good as Fallout 4, though.
Also, insultingly short.

Hard disagree. I like Fallout 4 quite a bit, but I don’t think there’s any part of it I liked better than The Outer Worlds.

this handful of uncooked milled oats was a fantastic palate cleanser after half a kilo of shit

Nah, I loved The Outer Worlds. It gave me exactly what I wanted from the setting, it made me laugh, and it wasn’t bogged down in bloat by trying to be any bigger than it ought to have been.

It must be nice when your standards conveniently align with whatever makes the developers work less.

Not sure how the first game was a snorefest - I genuinely had more fun in Starfield.
